  Abstract:  La Chiesa e l’esercito. In questo articolo l’autore presenta l’impegno dei vescovi rumeni uniti alla difesa della monarchia asburgica durante le guerre sostenute da questa durante il secolo XIX. Il ritorno di Napoleone dall’isola Elba e la ripresa delle ostilità ha determinato le Corti europee di prendere delle misure per la sua sconfitta. Il vescovo di Transilvania Ioan Bob ha mandato al vescovo di Oradea, Samuil Vulcan, un “regolamento” militare e il giuramento che dovevano fare i giovani soldati appena arruolati dall’esercito. Un tale regolamento ed il giuramento delle nuove reclute viene pubblicato in queste pagine.
