  Abstract:  Les Latins et les Grecs: deux réalités qui se disputent dans une Eglise ou les catholiques et les orthodoxes deux confessions? Il est presque impossible de mettre à part cette conception erronée concernant la séparation confessionnelle entre les grecs et les latins en 1054. Pendant la période qui précède cette date et commençant avec la fondation du Constantinople, six de sept conciles œcuméniques ont eu lieu, le dernier peu avant l’apparition de Charles Magne sur le trône romain. Des tensions il y en a eu entre les deux parties de l’Empire avec des influences et en regardant le christianisme et en dirigeant aux oppositions entre l’Orient et l’Occident. Les différences ont mis en évidence les pères latins et les pères grecs.
