  Abstract:  Nel suo celebre libro Nachfolge (1937), Dietrich Bonhoeffer affermò che quando il Signore chiama ci si deve abbandonare alla parola di Gesù Cristo, considerarla come un terreno più solido di qualsiasi altra sicurezza del mondo. La risposta alla vocazione non è certo così semplice o scontata (né lo deve essere, se autentica e responsabile), anche perché il suo ascolto viene costantemente distolto, non solo a causa delle potenze mondane. Non è in tal caso necessario che quella chiamata risulti impedita: è sufficiente che ne venga attutita l’udibilità attraverso quella che potremmo chiamare l’istituzionalizzazione della risposta di fede, in un contesto sempre meno naturalmente dischiuso alla trascendenza, soffocato da sofismi o semplificazioni.
