  Abstract:  Figlio del suo tempo, Pietro Parente ha collaborato all’appro¬fondimento e allo sviluppo della dottrina della Chiesa attraverso la sua vita, i suoi scritti e la sua missione nella Chiesa. In un momento in cui il Magistero Ecclesiastico era tanto messo in ombra e colpito da diverse teorie riduttive, Pietro Parente, noto teologo e giurista afferma e sostiene, nei suoi scritti, la verità, la liberta e la coscienza di fronte al Magistero e il suo ruolo fondamentale e insostituibile nella vita e nella missione della Chiesa.
