Abstract:  Ethical Criteria when assisting the dying Patients. Counseling the dying patients represents one of the most intense, most personal and maybe the most intimate meeting between two human beings. Let us but not forget that death is in the same time the most intimate and personal experience of the person that experiences it. For the dying, it is his moment, his road, where he has to stay on. We have the task to accompany him alongside this road, up to the very last moment that is accessible to us. But we have to pay attention not to try to become the main actors, because this would mean trying to steal something that does not belong to us.

KEY WORDS: dying, nursing, Christian bioethics
