  Abstract:  

Career counseling is concerned with facilitating career decision making process and developing good decision makers who are able to metacognitively gather and use information related to their career decision. Theories of career development and counseling address more or less explicitly the metacognitive components of career decision-making. This study investigates the metacognitive components of decision making process and outline some benefits for a metacognitive approach to the counseling process.
