Abstract:  “Political Science as a discipline is substatively, not methodologi¬cally, defined. Political scientists use a variety of methods to attack questions related to political institutions and behaviors. While the methodological issues are defined by our political questions, we freely use whatever methodological solutions are available. Thus political methodology has freely drawn on insights from econometrics, psychometrics, sociology and statistics” (Beck, 1999).
