Abstract:  By replacing the high natural isotopic abundance atom with one of its isotopes one can obtain isotopic isomer molecules. The importance of these isotopic isomers consists in their structure and chemical properties, which are identical. The differences between molecules are: molecular mass and magnetic nuclear properties. Our work is relating to hydrogen and its stable isotope – deuterium. The isotopic isomers are deuterated molecules, which have one or more hydrogen atoms replaced by deuterium atoms. Deuterated compounds are helpful in molecular structural investigations by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Mass Spectrometry (MS), or reaction mechanism studies. Thus isotopically labeled molecules become indispensable because the chemical disturbances are lower in the studies of chemical processes.
