  Abstract:  In this work, we produced radioisotopes by the nuclear reaction 174Yb(n,γ)175Yb, using neutron facilities with isotopic neutron sources. The thermal neutron cross-section for the reaction 174Yb(n,γ)175Yb reaction was measured using the activation method with 56Mn as a monitor. 174Yb was one of the investigated isotopes in order to clarify the differences between the values of the effective cross-sections for this reaction determinate by different authors.
