  Abstract:  Sf. Augustin se bucură, poate, de cea mai largă deschidere şi cel mai susţinut program de traduceri în limba română dintre toţi autorii medievali. În ciuda dificultăţii frazei augustiniene, a latinei de orator de la sfârşitul imperiului roman folosită de marele teolog creştin, performanţa traducerii domnului Vasile Sav se face remarcată între toate traducerile din Sf. Augustin prezente în limba română. Nota asupra ediţiei ne anunţă un proiect ambiţios pe care trebuie să îl salutăm cel puţin la nivelul intenţiei: editarea, într-o formulă bilingvă, a operei complete a Sfântului Augustin.
