  Abstract:  

Those years that Mircea Eliade has spent in Portugal have been very important for the great scholar’s intellectual evolution, as in that country he set up some of the most significant works, for example Patterns in Comparative Religion (Traité d’histoire des Religions). We will approach next the “relationship” between Eliade – Salazar, as it is recorded in The Portuguese Journal.
