L’initiative de réunir dans ce numéro spécial de la revue Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai, Philologia, toute une série d’études portant sur les langues romanes et leurs différentes variétés s’explique par le regain d’intérêt actuellement ressenti, en Europe, comme ailleurs, envers ce genre d’investigations complexes et, souvent, interdisciplinaires, qui pourront mettre en lumière un nombre important d’aspects inédits ou moins évidents auparavant.
