  Abstract:  Rodul a douăzeci de ani de cercetări, volumul Marianei Neţ se constituie într-o „provocare” adresată cititorului, după cum precizează însăşi autoarea în „Concluzia” cărţii. Departe de a fi un studiu exhaustiv al operei lui Dumas – lucru imposibil, fie numai şi din cauza vastităţii acesteia –, demersul Marianei Neţ propune „reabilitarea” scriitorului Alexandre Dumas, reaşezarea sa pe locul ce i se cuvine în istoria literaturii universale.
