  Abstract:  In recent years, an increasingly large number of Romanian universities have begun to offer training programs in (conference) interpreting, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The present paper discusses a number of basic aspects pertaining to curricular design in the field, from the type of training likely to be offered at each level to the manner in which curricula could be better related to the intended competences and learning outcomes.
