  Abstract:  The investigation of stress related reactions in conference interpreting may have several significant benefits: enhancement of the quality of interpretation per se, as well as the enhancement of the quality of life of the interpreter. The present paper aims to present a brief theoretical analysis and synthesis of the above-mentioned aspects, and illustrate a stress management and coaching program implemented with master students at the Department of Applied Modern Languages of the Faculty of Letters, Babeş-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca.
