  Abstract:  The Discourse Genera in the Perspective of a General Poetics. This contribution is part of a research project centred on the written press genera as social and cultural practices: nature, typology and dynamics in the Romanian and French press. Starting with a synthesis of the main researches in this field, the author tries to reconsider all these aspects in order to make some assumptions concerning the definition criteria of the press genera in the perspective of a general poetics theory.
