  Abstract:  Procedures for Purchasing Capital Equipment. The procedures for purchasing capital equipment are outlined briefly to illustrate how the differences fit into the overall decision-making plan. Because of the nature of equipment purchases in terms of sums involved, relative infrequency of purchase, and capitalization of the purchase, detailed procedures have been developed to facilitate and control such purchasing.
