  Abstract:  Forecasting Methodology of Labour Force, Active Persons and Employment (Employed Persons). The article presents some theoretical and methodological aspects about forecasting of the most important categories of population: labour force, active persons and employment (employed persons). The study contains information about how to calculate and quantify these categories and other specific and relevant rates as economic activity rate, employment rate, unemployment rate etc. It also points out the economic impact of a positive or negative evolution of some important rates like unemployment rate and its influence upon national development strategies and economic policy.
