Article:   RATIONALE OF SETTING UP JOINT VENTURES IN ROMANIA – ANALYSIS.

Authors:  MIRELA POPA, CRISTINA TAPALAGA-INOAN.

Abstract:  The idea of setting up joint ventures in Romania, as in many other Eastern countries, should raise a series of cultural and economic questions to both the investor and the eastern partner. Living in the century of the birth of the EU, the above mentioned topic proves to be an actual subject of discussion. Our intention is not to give solutions to all the possible problems. The paper attempts to raise awareness by presenting the Romanian example, illustrating in this way the impact of the economic, social and cultural background upon the relationship between the local firms and the foreign organisations.
