Abstract: The paper suggests a synthetic view of the choral works be¬longing to the composers in Cluj-Napoca, generating a panorama of the musical language and of its means of expression. The stylistic data reflect several evolutionary stages, beginning with the romantic creation and cul¬minating with the one influenced by the national school of composition based on the integration of traditional folkloric values, from neo modal to the avant-garde and postmodernism.
