Abstract: This study intends to introduce the origin and the historical importance of Lauda Sion, one of the 5 sequence, that are allowed by the Council of Trent. After a detailed analysis of the melody and lyrics, we can learn about the different figures in the liturgy of variable sects, and its’ special relation to Zoltán Kodály Psalmus Hungaricus.
