Abstract:  Inter-War Jewish Institutions in Transylvania. The present paper deals with Jewish institution in inter-war Transylvania, a quite complex topic when considering the structure of the Jewish society of that period. Inter-war Jewish institutions either belonged to different religious communities or the Zionist movement and they functioned as a cohesive force, up to a point transcending inner conflicts within Jewish society, as the circumstances of the epoch often compelled them to collaborate. At the same time, they brought a substantial contribution to the shaping of Jewish identity.
