  Abstract:  The presence of high amounts of heavy metals in the environment, induced by human activity, is one of the most important tasks of the present environmental issues. The enrichment of these elements, particular in the urban and suburban areas, is influenced by both, immobile and mobile sources. The heavy metals act upon the health either indirectly, by consuming vegetables grown on contaminated soils, or directly by dust inhalation or drinking of contaminated water.
