  Abstract:  The Cretaceous Wildflysch within the Rarău Syncline is part of the sedimentary section of the Bucovinian Nappe and belongs to the Median Dacides sensu Săndulescu (1984). The Wildflysch contains several klippen built up either of sediment or of volcanics. One of them is the Lower Jurassic klippe of the Praşca Peak (Fig. 1) which is located approximately in the middle of the Cretaceous Wildflysch.
