Abstract:  The Potential of the Medium Liquid Flow in the Someş Plateau. For the evaluation of the potential of the medium flow from the Somes Plateau we used the data from 23 hydrometric stations for the period 1968-2005. The correlation between the values of the multiannual medium flow and the medium altitude of the reception basins controlled by the studied hydrometric stations allowed the identification of five curves which have as territorial correspondent five areas in which the amplification of the flow with the altitude takes place differently. The using of the GIS technique in determining the corresponding surfaces for each altitude interval of 50 meters from every validity zone of the relation q = fH m allowed the evaluation of the potential of the medium flow for river basins, geographical units and subunits and for altitude intervals. Spatial differences have been causally explained (degree of humidity, surface etc). The applied methodology allowed the evaluation of the potential of the flow also for the basins of the small rivers which are not observed systematically. The volume of water transported by the small rivers in the Somes Plateau has been evaluated at about 596.6 million m³ a year, representing 40,6% of the multiannual medium volume produced in the Transylvanian Plateau (1470.6 million m³). There are quite obvious contrasts between the different subunits of the Somes Plateau also from the point of view of the outer resources.
