  Abstract:  Considerations Regarding the Distributions of the Settlements from the Superior Basin of Crişului Repede. Upon a surface of 1330 km2, with a low mountainous relief and marginal depressions, there are distributed 59 settlements (inclusively a small town, Huedin), with a density of 4,5 settlements / 100 km2. The average height of hearths site is of 555 m (with phasing between 250 and 1100 m). The index of settlements’ concentration highlights higher values în the depressionary areas, respectively more reduced in the extended mountainous communes, with the villages stringed on the valleys.
