Abstract:  Aspects regarding the assessment of the touristic potential’s value and of the touristic infrastructure from the north-western region of Romania. The authors achieve a sistem of touristic hierarchy of the main components implied in the touristic phenomenon development (the natural and anthropic touristic potential and the touristic infrastructure). The main idea of the study consist in the equalization of the three components’ chances in the touristic offer individualization at every UAT (commune, town) level. Beginning with granting maximum 50 points for every major category, a differentiation on subcomponents is done, whose value is measured according with the involvement of each one in the frame of the three big categories. Through cumulations, three partial hierarchies are achieved which lead to a general hierarchic differentiation which offers a real analytical image of every component framed in the general frame of the north-western region of Romania.
