Abstract:  Geoecological Study of the Feleac Massif. The Feleac Massif is an isolated massif of about 700 – 833 m high which makes the transition between the Apuseni Mountains (the Western Carpathians) and the Transylvanian Hillock Depression. It represents a breakdown sector of the middle crystalline Apuseni Mountains, buried in the Miocene sediments (marl-clay, Sarmatian sands).
