Abstract:  The Geomorphologic Size for the Rural Development and Territorial Planning in the Codrului Hills. The Codru Hills represent a sub-unit of fourth order of the Banato-Crisene Hills, individualized on the morphological and structural contact of Culmea Codrului with the Baia-Mare depression. The two major level of relief (the "mountain" and the piedmont hills) have a different reflex in the development of the villages network, the landforms (the interfluves, the slopes and the valleys), making up themselves in the favorable or restrictive elements in the emplacement of the villages and agricultural economy. The relief constitutes itself in the most important factor, in the location, in the shape and the structure of the villages and in the lines of communication location and land use, too.
