Abstract: The Council of Europe Modern Languages Projects. The Council of Europe through its European Center for Modern Languages has devoted its efforts to the promotion of a new multilingual environment and the exploitation of new approaches to language learning and teaching. This endeavour has been consistently prompted by the rapid development of a new cultural and political environment in Europe. From amongst the new approaches, the paradigm of diversity deserves special attention and concern. | |||||||
