  Article:   WESTERN EUROPEAN “IDENTITY” VERSUS EASTERN EUROPEAN “IDENTITY”?.

  Abstract:  La storia, la cultura e lo sviluppo economico nell’Europa dell’Est (i Balcani inclusi) hanno ovviamente avuto un andamento diverso dall’evolu¬zione dei paesi dell’Europa Occidentale. Questo articolo intende abbordare il problema di una certa forma di esclusione, identificata da me in quanto riguarda le usanze ed i costumi nell’Europa dell’Est, al livello del processo di allargamento. Questo articolo mira anche a porre le seguenti domande: Esiste un’identità dell’Europa Occidentale e una dell’Europa Orientale? L’inclusione nell’UE significa ottenere l’identità dell’Europa Occidentale? E se così, questa cosa influirà l’identità Est-Europea del popolo dallo stato che diventerà (o che desidera diventare) membro dell’UE? Oppure questi sono due concetti paralleli, che non si escludono reciprocamente.
