  Article:   ASPECTS OF POLITICAL COMMUNICATION.

Authors:  OCTAVIA RALUCA ZGLOBIU.

Abstract:  The latest approach regarding the comprehension of political discourse seems to go towards a very simplistic appreciation: that of the communicative phenomena seen as a simple vehicle used to pass on specific information (more or less as an interactive act) and that of the political act seen from the ‘negative’ perspective of persuasion and manipulation. Stated as above, those two seem to have nothing in common, besides the fact that the latter uses the communicative act in order to accomplish its goals (be them good or bad) and come into being as two separate „notions’’ which sometimes (if not all the time) make use of one another. Facing the issue from this angle, the very essence of political communication disappears.

Keywords: political communication, political discourse, manipulation, propaganda
