  Abstract:  Le XXe siècle restera sans aucun doute comme le siècle de la communication. Il est celui qui inventa une nouvelle source de connaissances, de valeurs et de profits: l’information. Il est celui qui développa les moyens de diffusion et de traitement de l’information: presse, téléphone, radio, télévision, réseau satellitaire, câble optique, ordinateur, etc. D’où le triomphe d’une société de l’information et de la communication où il s’agit d’être «branché», «câblé», de «surfer sur la toile», de «participer au village planétaire» en «empruntant les autoroutes de l’information».
