This article is analyzing the emergence of performance as a research method scholarship in the specific conditions of black feminist scholarship from United States in the last twenty years, and reflects upon the possibilities of using performance in the academic environment as a tool of study. Concrete strategies for change and action beyond the coming out of performance itself in the academic world are to be investigated in order to explore the availability of such an innovative research method in conditions of our own local.
