WO₃ films obtained by dip-coating technique were investigated to evidence the properties of tungsten trioxide films for water splitting applications. The deposition solution containing peroxo-tungstic acid was prepared by sol-gel method. The films were deposited on conductive glass substrates and were annealed at 250-550⁰C. The properties of WO₃ films were investigated by UV-Vis Spectroscopy, X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
