REVIEW: OXIDATIVE STRESS AND INFLAMMATION – KEY PLAYERS IN TUMOR ANGIOGENESIS. Authors: MARIUS COSTEL ALUPEI, RAMONA MARIA MAXIM, MANUELA BANCIU. |

Abstract: Tumor angiogenesis has a crucial role in tumor development and the metastasis. Initiation and angiogenesis development is a result of the interaction of two tumor-associated processes: inflammation and oxidative stress. Therefore, a better understanding of molecular mechanisms that play a key role in tumor angiogenesis-associated inflammation and oxidative stress can offer promising strategies for future anticancer therapies.
