	Rezumat: The Language – Essence of Communication and its Main Functions. This study presents the ways in which the language works in the process of communication. The language is thus defined as a means of performing communication, and the style is presented as a feature of the language, emphasizing its most important aspects: the message, the code, the communicational channel.Considering the language as the essence of communication, we tried to emphasize the way in which its functions are related to certain communicational aspects.
